Then step back in time and trace Edmonton's history from the 1846 fur trade to the roaring twenties at Fort Edmonton Park. Interact with the costumed interpreters who recreate daily activities and re enact important events. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to visit West Edmonton Mall.
Day 3Edmonton / Prince George, BC
The beauty of the changing landscape begins as we head west through Jasper and McBride to Prince George, British Columbia's northern capital.
Day 4Prince George / Terrace, BC
We continue our westward journey today following the beautiful rivers and valleys of north central British Columbia, passing through the towns of Fraser Lake, Burns Lake and Smithers.
Day 5Terrace, BC
This morning, we leave the town of “terraces” for the morning to head to the west coast's longest inland fjord, the Douglas Channel. Enjoy the breathtaking views of lakes and mountains as we head toward the Kitimat Valley and the town of Kitimat, where a tour of the world–class aluminium smelter at Kitimat Works awaits you. Return to Terrace to enjoy lunch at Shames Mountain Tea House with an enchanting view of the valley and the Skeena River followed by a guided tour of the living Heritage Park Museum.
Day 6Terrace / Stewart, BC
The “Okanagan of the North”, with its moderate climate and numerous orchards holds the north's largest Farmer's Market in Terrace this morning and you have leisure time to browse through the market and explore the town. This afternoon we travel one of the most scenic drives in North America to Stewart, BC.
Day 7Stewart / Hyder, Alaska / Stewart
Your camera is a must this morning as we welcome aboard a local guide for a tour that will take us above the Salmon Glacier in Hyder, Alaska. We follow the Salmon River, up the alpine and back into beautiful British Columbia, lunching at the summit. You will be thrilled as you discover one of the secrets of North Western British Columbia. There is leisure time in the afternoon to explore the town of historic Stewart. In the evening, we join our local guide again for a special trip to Fish Creek in Hyder, Alaska to watch Grizzly and Black Bears fishing for salmon in their natural habitat.
Day 8Stewart / Prince Rupert, BC
We return south this morning through Terrace and head west once more. This is the last glorious stretch of highway that snakes through the Coast Mountains along the great Skeena River, over the Rainbow Summit to Prince Rupert, the unofficial city of rainbows and gateway to British Columbia's dramatic north coast. This evening we have a leisurely stroll along the Cow Bay Waterfront.
Day 9Prince Rupert, BC
Another special adventure awaits you today when we board a Tour Boat with knowledgeable and experienced staff and guide. We will be on the lookout for Humpback Whales, Stellar Sea Lions and Harbour Seals as we cruise through beautiful fjords and pristine wilderness. Once back in Prince Rupert we will tour the North Pacific Historic Fishing Village, a National Historic Site and BC's oldest surviving salmon cannery offering a unique and entertaining look at life in a cannery village.
Day 10Prince Rupert / Prince George, BC
A leisurely day of travel as we retrace our steps along the Yellowhead Highway. The scenery is breathtaking, and wildlife such as moose, black bears and eagles may be glimpsed. We retire for the evening at the Prince George.
Day 11Prince George / Jasper, AB
We say farewell to British Columbia as we cross the border into Alberta. This afternoon enjoy a cruise on beautiful Maligne Lake to Spirit Island. We will also take a gentle hike down Maligne Canyon where you will see how the water has carved spectacular crevices out of the mountain. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the quaint and unique town of Jasper.
Day 12Jasper / Edmonton, AB
Depart Jasper for Edmonton or Calgary International Airport for your flight home.

Spend two extra days in Alberta. From Jasper, your group can travel south on the Icefields Parkway, overnight in Lake Louise or Banff and depart for home from the Calgary International Airport.
