| Welcome to Anderson Tours most popular tour where you will see some
of Canada's most spectacular National Parks. Arrive at the Calgary
International Airport. Transfer to your hotel. This evening, meet your tour

This morning discover Calgary as a local guide takes your group on a city
tour of the metropolitan city. This afternoon visit either Canada Olympic
Park, to view the premiere site of freestyle skiing, bobsleigh, luge and ski
jumping events during the 1988 Olympic Winter Games or travel back in
time...and discover the treasures of Western Canada's past at Heritage
Park. All the sights and sounds of pre–1914 life are recreated at Canada's
largest living historical village. This evening is at leisure. |
| Day 3 | Calgary / Waterton Lakes National Park, AB |
| Today travel to Waterton Lakes National Park, which features
spectacular scenery, an abundance of wildlife, plants and lakes, a small
commercial village and a wide variety of recreation facilities. Before
arriving in Waterton, tour the site of the famous Head Smashed In
Buffalo Jump. Explore the colorful past at one of the oldest, largest and
best-preserved buffalo jump sites in North America. |
| Day 4 | Waterton Lakes National Park, AB |

Spend a full day in this beautiful park and visit all the sights including:
Cameron Valley, Cameron Lake, Red Rock Parkway and the Prince of Wales
Hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy leisure time for shopping or an optional
scenic boat cruise of Lake Waterton. This evening, join your tour director
for dinner and some good ole foot stompin' western entertainment at the
Great Canadian Barn. |
| Day 5 | Waterton Lakes National Park / Kananaskis, AB |
| Today follow the historic Cowboy Trail and travel north on Highway 22,
nestled between the Canadian Rockies and Alberta's Prairies. At Longview,
travel west and follow the river to the Highwood Pass. See some of the
most picturesque scenery in Alberta. |
| Day 6 | Kananaskis, AB |
|
Today is a day of leisure, where you will have time to explore the Village
of Kananaskis. Optional Activities include:
Gentle Walks throughout the Village
Hike to Troll Falls (about 2.5 hours)
Rent a bike
Exercise in the well equipped fitness centre
Soak in the hot tub and sauna
Golf at the nearby Kananaskis Golf Course
Horse Back Ride at Boundary Ranch
Rejuvenate your senses in the spa–offering various health and beauty

| Day 7 | Kananaskis / Banff, AB |
| Wake up to the sounds of birds singing in the nearby trees. Travel a short
distance to Banff National Park and spend the day exploring the
beautiful surroundings. This evening enjoy a spectacular tram ride to the
top of Sulphur Mountain and get a full view of the village of Banff. |
| Day 8 | Banff, AB |
| The morning is at leisure for you to explore the townsite of Banff. This
afternoon drive a short distance to Lake Louise to visit one of the most
picturesque spots in the world. Also view the awesome Morraine Lake
and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. |
| Day 9 | Banff / Jasper, AB |

Journey north today through the Icefields Parkway. This parkway is an
endless succession of scenic wonders. A special stop will be made at the
unforgettable Peyto Lake. Arrive at the Columbia Icefields where you
are treated to a special ride in a snocoach across the icefields. Continuing
up the parkway stop at Athabasca Falls before arriving in Jasper. |
| Day 10 | Jasper / Edmonton, AB |
| This morning enjoy a cruise on beautiful Maligne Lake to Spirit Island.
Also take a gentle hike down Maligne Canyon where you see how the
water has carved spectacular crevices out of the mountain. Say goodbye
to Jasper and travel east to Edmonton. This evening is at leisure for you
at the West Edmonton Mall – the largest mall in the World! |
| Day 11 | Edmonton |

Today take a fully narrated guided tour of Edmonton that combines
colorful anecdotes, humorous stories and well-researched historical facts.
Then a short leisurely drive brings you to the Devonian Botanical
Gardens, where you will see an authentic Japanese garden, attractive
floral gardens, collections of native and alpine plants and ecological
reserves situated within an attractive rolling landscape of pine trees and
large ponds. This evening, join your tour director for a farewell Alberta
“Beef” dinner at Northlands–Spectrum. |
| Day 12 | Depart For Home City via Edmonton or Calgary |
| Head for home with many pleasant memories of your visit to Alberta. |
