Banff National Park7 Days
Day 1Home City / Calgary, AB
Depart home city to Calgary and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2Calgary, AB
Discover the city of Calgary as a local guide takes your group on a tour of the metropolitan city including Downtown Calgary, Chinatown, Au Claire Market, Kensington District and Scottsman Hill. For the remainder of the day, plan a special activity for your group. (Our travel planners will gladly give you great ideas).
Day 3Calgary / Banff, AB
Leave the flat of the prairies behind and travel to the beautiful Canadian Rockies. For the next two nights, our home will be Banff, the garden spot of Alberta. Sightseeing today includes a scenic drive along the Lake Minnewanka Loop, as well as a visit to the Cascade Gardens – one of Canada's finest historic landscapes, and beautiful Bow Falls. This evening we enjoy a spectacular tram ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain where you get a full view of the village of Banff. (Groups can add an optional boat cruise on Lake Minnewanka)
Day 4Banff / Lake Louise, AB
The morning is at leisure for you to explore the townsite of Banff. This afternoon we will drive a short distance to Lake Louise to visit one of the most picturesque spots in the world. We will also view the awesome Morraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks.
Day 5Lake Louise / Columbia Icefields / Banff, AB
We journey north today through the Icefields Parkway. This parkway is an endless succession of scenic wonders. A special stop will be made at the unforgettable Peyto Lake. We arrive at the Columbia Icefields where you are treated to a special ride in a snocoach across the icefields, which are over 1000 feet thick. Return to Banff for the evening. Tonight sit back and relax in the pool at Cave and Basin Hot Springs.
Day 6Banff / Calgary, AB
We say goodbye to the Rocky Mountains and travel east to Calgary. Enroute we visit the famous Canada Olympic Park, home of the 1988 Olympics. This afternoon, explore Canada's largest living historical village – Heritage Park, with 66 acres of lush parkland, over 150 historical exhibits, thousands of artifacts, and lively interpretive activities.
Day 7Depart for Home City
Transfer to Calgary International Airport and return home with wonderful memories of your Alberta Tour.
