Day 1
Home City - San Antonio, TX
Upon arrival at the San Antonio airport, meet your tour director and transfer to your hotel. Hilton on the Paseo del Rio.
Day 2
San Antonio Sightseeing - New Years Eve Party
Today see the best that San Antonio has to offer.
Our first stop will be at the IMAX movie, “The
Price of Freedom”, which recreates the events
leading up to the famous battle at the Alamo.
Next, tour the actual Alamo Mission where
Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie fought for Texas
independence in 1836. Following take a guided
tour of the lavish, historic Steve’s Homestead,
located in the city’s most exclusive residential
area during the 1800’s. Enjoy an included lunch
at the Guenther House, a charming residence
once owned by San Antonio’s premier flour
baron. Next ascend to the top of the Tower of
the Americas to view the city from 750 feet.
Your day will culminate with a visit to the
fascinating Institute of Texas Cultures, displaying
the rich ethnic diversity of the state. There will
be time to visit the Spanish Mall. Return to your
hotel with time to relax before tonight’s NEW
YEAR’S EVE PARTY. Bring in the year 2009 at
the best party in town, complete with food and
champagne!
Day 3
Happy New Year!
Sleep late as a quiet day will be offered for
your pleasure. Relax or venture out and stroll
the Riverwalk. Later this morning, savor Brunch
at the hotel before a narrated electric boat
cruise on the 2 1/2 mile Paseo del Rio. Cruise
along the Riverwalk, past its many hotels,
sidewalk cafes, and musical amphitheaters.

that line the Riverwalk. Afterwards, enjoy
a leisurely afternoon and perhaps a bit of
exploring of the Riverwalk’s unique architecture
on your own.
Day 4
Fredericksburg Day Trip
Spend a full day exploring the magnificent
Hill Country of Central Texas and the quaint
German town of Fredericksburg, originally
settled in 1846. Visit the renowned Admiral
Nimitz Museum, dedicated to the 2 million
men and women who served under Nimitz in
the Pacific during World War II. Exhibits here
chronicle the Admiral’s life and career in the
U.S. Navy. Enjoy lunch and shopping on your
own. Then, drive to the nearby LBJ National
Park, home of Lyndon Baines Johnson, our 36th
President. You’ll see the first schoolhouse LBJ
attended and a portion of his beloved ranch,
famous for its prized Hereford Cattle. Enjoy
a visit to the Mission San Jose. Established
in 1720, it is considered the most beautiful
of all Texas missions. Stop at the Buckhorn
Saloon & Museum, home to an amazing
collection of animal horns, mounted wildlife,
and the infamous Buckhorn Bar. Tonight’s
Farewell Dinner will be at the Barn Door Steak
Restaurant.
Day 5
San Antonio - Home
This morning is at leisure to visit the
remarkable 10-acre River Center Shopping
Complex or relax at your hotel. Then we depart
for a stop at the SAS Shoe Factory before
traveling to the nearby airport and our return
flights home.
