| Depart home city and take overnight flight to Europe. |
| Day 2 | Europe - Cairo, Egypt |
| Upon arrival in Europe, switch to a flight to Cairo, Egypt. You will be met and assisted to clear Egyptian Customs, then transferred to a Cairo hotel for an overnight stay. Enjoy a "Welcome Dinner" this evening. |
| Day 3 | Cairo |

After breakfast at the hotel, tour this vibrant city and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. This afternoon tour the Egyptian Museum, which houses the ancient artifacts of Egypt, including the treasures of King Tutankhamen and rare artifacts of gold and jewelry, Return to the hotel later in the afternoon. |
| Day 4 | Cairo - Abu Simbel, Egypt |
| Following breakfast at the hotel, transfer to
the Cairo Airport for a flight to Abu Simbel, at
the head of Lake Nasser. Here you will board
the “Eugene” for a four night cruise on the
lake, sailing to Aswan. After visiting the Abu
Simbel temples, a world UNESCO heritage
site comprising 2 temples, sit back on the
deck and relax with a welcome cocktail. This
evening, return to the Abu Simbel Temple for an
OPTIONAL impressive Sound & Light Show. A
candlelight dinner will be served on board the
“Eugene”. |
| Day 5 | Cruising Lake Nassar - Nile River, Egypt |

Those who like to watch spectacular sunrises
at the Abu Simbel Temple can do so today and
have the rest of the morning at leisure before setting sail towards Kasr Ibrim, the site of a
strategic fortress during the pharaonic times.
A tour will be conducted at this site from the
ship’s sundeck as entrance to this site is not
permitted. Dinner and overnight on board the
“Eugene”. |
| Day 6 | Cruising Lake Nassar - Nile River, Egypt |
| Today sail to Amada for a morning visit of the
temple of Amada, the oldest temple on Lake
Nassar and Derr as well as the tomb of Penout
and viceroy of Nubia. Due to the rising waters
of the lake after the High Dam was constructed,
these temples were reconstructed at their
present site between 1964 and 1975. Lunch will
be served as you set sail to Wadi El Seboua and
visit the temples there. Dinner and overnight
onboard while tied up at Wadi El Seboua. |
| Day 7 | Cruising Lake Nassar - Nile River, Egypt |
| Sail toward the city of Aswan and enjoy
cocktails while crossing the “Tropic of Cancer”
which is halfway between the South Pole and
the Equator. There are many historic temples
that are under the waters of Lake Nasser and
accessible only by boat. You will visit more
of these temples today. This is the last night
aboard the “Eugene”. |
| Day 8 | Aswan - Cruise River Nile, Egypt |

This morning transfer from the “Eugene” to
board a different vessel/ship to cruise the Nile
River for the next 3 nights, sailing into Luxor,formerly known as the city of Thebes and one
of the most interesting destinations in Egypt.
This afternoon, relax as you sail via a felucca,
a traditional wooden sailing boat used in
protected waters, to Elephantine Island and a
visit to the Botanical Gardens. Overnight back
on board the ship. |
| Day 9 | Cruise Nile River |
| A morning visit to view the High Dam, the
unfinished obelisk and the temple of Philea before
setting sail down the Nile River to the temple of
Kom-Ombo, standing on a hill overlooking the
Nile. This afternoon sail into Edfu, where you
will have dinner on board and stay tied along the
shore at Edfu for the night. |
| Day 10 | Cruise River Nile - Luxor, Egypt |
| This morning tour the temple of Edfu, dedicated
to the god Horus, before sailing through the
locks at Esna and continue sailing down the
river to Luxor. Overnight on board while docked
at Luxor. |
| Day 11 | Luxor - Giza, Egypt |
|
Today visit the West Bank of the Nile, the sites
of the “Valley of Kings” as well as a visit to
the temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most
successful female pharaohs. Proceed to the East
Bank and have lunch at a local restaurant before
visiting the two great temples here: The Temple
of Karnak and the Luxor Temple. This afternoon
transfer to the Luxor Airport for a short flight to
Cairo and proceed to the hotel in Giza for a twonight
stay. The hotel overlooks the largest of the
pyramids. |
| Day 12 | Giza |
| This whole day is dedicated to visiting the great pyramids, the sphinx, and the ancient city of Memphis. Also visit the Step Pyramid, considered the oldest remaining building in the world. Dinner will be on your own this evening back at the hotel. |
| Day 13 | Giza - Ain el Soukhna, Egypt (Suez Canal) |
| Today transfer by to the resort of Ain el Soukhna, along the Suez Canal for an overnight stay. |
| Day 14 | Cairo - Amman, Jordan |
| A morning departure from Cairo, Egypt and fly into Amman, Jordan for an overnight stay. You will tour this modern city before checking into the hotel in the afternoon. |
| Day 15 | Amman - Petra, Jordan or Home City |
|
After breakfast, take an Amman City Tour, then transfer to Petra for a two-night stay. Petra not only possessed the advantages of a fortress but controlled the main commercial routes which passed through it to the west, to Aqabaon the Red Sea and across the desert to the Persian Gulf. |
| Day 16 | Petra |
| Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a full day to visit the "Lost City of Petre". Described as the eighth wonder of the ancient world, Petra is surrounded by pink sandstone mountain that gave it protection from marauding tribes of old and was settled 2000 years ago. Entrance to the city is through the Siq, a narrow gorge, flanked by towering cliffs and dazzling rock formations. This walk is an experience in itself. Motorized vehicles are not allowed but for those who choose not to walk, you may hire a horse or horse-drawn carriage. Return to the hotel for the evening. |
| Day 17 | Petra - Amman, Jordan |
| Today visit Wadi Rum and enjoy a two hour jeep tour. This is a spectacular place, virtually untouched by humanity with a landscape of towering rock formations, carved by the wind and weather. Travel back to Amman for the night. |
| Day 18 | Amman - Home City |
| All memorable vacations must come to an end and today is no exception. Transfer to the airport in Amman for your return flight home, via Europe. |
