Day 1
Edmonton / Calgary / Salmon Arm, BC
Our journey today takes us through Banff National Park. Travel along the Trans Canada Highway and cross the border into beautiful BC. Enjoy the majestic mountain scenery and arrive at our destination of Salmon Arm.
Day 2
Salmon Arm / Whistler, BC
Awaken this morning to the spectacular scenery of the Rocky Mountains. From majestic mountains to tranquil lakes continue your journey westward. Cross tumbling mountain streams, hug the shores of ice blue glacier fed lakes and climb spectacular north portion of the Fraser Canyon. We overnight in the charming village resort of Whistler.
Day 3
Whistler / Sechelt, BC
Today travel south on the Sea to Sky Highway and board the BC ferry to Langdale, a tiny village on the north side of Howe Sound. Drive along the Sunshine Coast to Gibson's Landing. Visit the Winegarden Waterfront Parkand take a panoramic picture of the harbour and scenic backdrop. Take a stroll down Molly's Lane or along Marine Drive and compact collection of fine galleries, village shops and small markets. Our lodging for the next 2 nights overlooks Trail Bay and and the Trail Islands in Sechelt.
Day 4
Sechelt
Our day begins with a visit to the Tem Swiya Museum, a First Nations museum that offers a rich collection of Native art and artifacts chronicling the heritage of the local Shishalh nation, including an extensive basket collection. A local guide will then board
Day 5
Sechelt / New Westminster, BC
It is time to say farewell to the Sunshine Coast and board the BC Ferry back to Horseshoe Bay and the mainland. Travel a short distance to New Westminster where your hotel overlooks the Fraser River and every room has a waterfront view! Board the MV Britannia, and sail out of Burrard Inlet under the Lions Gate Bridge. As you cruise English Bay, the sky will shine in an explosion of color. Enjoy the Celebration of Light from the best seats in Vancouver. This competition is known to be one of the most prestigious fireworks events and an exciting arena where you can see the lastest pyro-musical techniques and the most innovative fireworks materials. We have the best seats for this display right overhead of our cruise vessel.
Day 6
New Westminster
Today is a day of leisure for you to explore New Westminster. Take an optional Riverboat Cruise on the famous Fraser River, ride the Skytrain to downtown Vancouver or try your luck aboard the Royal City Star, New Westminster's riverboat casino. Visit the Westminster Quay Public Market and browse the waterfront boutiques and dining facilities.
Day 7
New Westminster / Revelstoke, BC
We retrace our route and journey east along the fabulous Coquihalla Highway. En route visit Hope, widely renowned as the "Chainsaw Carving Capital" to view the carvings displayed throughout the town.
Day 8
Revelstoke / Calgary / Edmonton, AB
Today it is homeward bound! We cross the border into Alberta and enjoy the mountainous scenery along the way.
